Iran secures 32 Paris 2024 berths
TEHRAN – With the conclusion of the 2024 Asian Wrestling Championships and the 2024 World Rowing Asian and Oceanian Olympic and Paralympic Qualification Regatta, Iran's contingent for the 2024 Paris Olympics has grown to 32 athletes.
The Greco-Roman wrsetlers secured two berths on Sunday, while rowing added four more. Artistic gymnast Mahdi Olfati made history on Monday by becoming the first Iranian gymnast to qualify for the Games in 60 years, bringing the total number of Iranian Olympians to 32.
Iran has so far secured Olympic berths in the following sports: Wrestling (freestyle and Greco-Roman), Weightlifting, Taekwondo, Cycling, Rowing, Fencing, Shooting and Gymnastics
