Iran FM congratulates military commanders on ‘Operation Truthful Promise’
TEHRAN- The recent operation to retaliate against the Israeli regime, according to the Iranian foreign minister, has improved the nation’s diplomatic standing abroad and redefined the balance of power in West Asia.
Hossein Amir Abdollahian thanked top military commanders in a statement sent on Monday for steering the military’s punitive action, “Operation Truthful Promise,” which was carried out in response to the Israeli bombing on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus.
He sent the message to Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces; Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps; Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Commander of the Iranian Army; and Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force.
The senior commanders were commended by the Iranian foreign minister for their meticulous and effective planning, designing, and execution of the successful operation.
The foreign minister added that the retaliatory operation has increased Iran’s diplomatic presence in both regional and global fora, bolstered national pride, boosted the nation’s strategic deterrence, and quickened the fall of the fake Zionist regime.
