TEHRAN – Iran lost to Slovenia 3-2 (25-13, 11-25, 25-22, 23-25, 15-13) in a heart-stopping match on Wednesday in the 2024 WPV Sitting Volleyball Final Paralympics Qualifiers for Women final.

The competition, presented by Delin Company, was held in Dali, China from April 2 to 10.

With three wins and three losses, Iran failed to advance to the Games.

“It was an extremely tough match (against Iran), but we knew from the beginning that we could make it. We just needed to believe in ourselves. It was a great game, and I am just proud of this team today,” Slovenia captain Lena Gabrscek said.
