TEHRAN - Brigadier General Ali Fadavi, the second-in-command of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), has delivered a condemnation of the Zionist regime, asserting its lack of legitimacy.

"The Zionist regime lacks legitimacy and will never be recognized as a fully sovereign state or nation; its ultimate demise is the only option," he remarked in a ceremony commemorating the martyrs of IRGC members killed in the Zionist military attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

During his speech, Fadavi expressed, “The Zionist regime has shown its true colors during decades of oppression imposed on Palestinians and we anticipate nothing less than complete savagery of the regime. Gaza has suffered over two decades of total blockade and unyielding oppression, with Israeli offenses escalating in the past six months."

Drawing attention to the regime's heinous acts, he further remarked, "The Zionist regime has been responsible for the deaths of over 33,000 civilians in the Gaza Strip, including a significant number of women and children. We foresee nothing but malevolence and depravity from this regime."

The top IRGC commander reiterated his stance, asserting, "The Zionist regime lacks legitimacy and will never function as a legitimate government or nation. Its only destiny is dissolution, a divine retribution for the oppressors."

Israel initiated its U.S.-backed military offensive on besieged Gaza on October 7, following the Palestinian Resistance group's Operation Al-Aqsa Storm in retaliation for intensified Israeli atrocities against Palestinians. The ongoing aggression has resulted in the death of at least 33,175 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, with 75,886 others injured, according to the latest statistics from the Gaza health ministry.

The conflict has resulted in 85% of Gaza's residents being internally displaced, facing severe scarcities of essential resources like food, clean water, and medicine, as the majority of the region's infrastructure lies in ruins.

Gaza is grappling with critical food shortages after enduring over six months of warfare and blockade, resulting in numerous fatalities due to malnutrition and dehydration, particularly among children.

On January 26, the International Court of Justice ordered Israel to cease genocidal actions and ensure the provision of humanitarian aid to Gaza's civilian population.
