Israel epoch of bullying in West Asia on losing streak, speaker says
TEHRAN- The time of Israel’s bullying in West Asia with the support of the U.S. has come to an end, according to Iran’s parliament speaker.
During an open parliamentary session in Tehran on Sunday, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf stated that the regime is on its way to collapse, as it has committed crimes that go against international laws during its failed six-month war on the Gaza Strip.
He went on to add that “by targeting Iran's consulate in Syria, the usurping Zionist enemy once again proved that it knows no boundaries in crimes and that it is so dishonorable and hated in the world that openly violates all international regulations.”
Alluding to the historic raid conducted by the Palestinian Hamas resistance group against Israel, he continued by saying that “the era of bullying and saber-rattling by the Zionists in the region with the support of the United States has ended. Their actions show that they have heard the smell of their demise and elimination after the October 7 operation.”
Qalibaf emphasized that the Iranian people will deliver a severe punishment to Israel, which will accelerate its downfall.
He stated that the more crimes the Zionist regime commits, the weaker it becomes, fueling the determination and motivation of the resistance against it.
In a message on Tuesday, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said the Islamic Republic will make the Zionist regime regret this crime.
“The bold, selfless, general of Islam, Major General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, along with his honorable comrade, General Mohammad Hadi Haj-Rahimi, were martyred by the criminal act of the despised, usurping Zionist regime. May the peace and mercy of God and those that are beloved by Him be upon them and the other martyrs [who were assassinated] in this tragic event. May God’s curse and damnation be upon the leaders of the oppressive, aggressive [Zionist] regime,” he added.
Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, assured on Saturday that the retaliation for the Israeli attack on Iran’s diplomatic mission in Damascus is certain, emphasizing that Tehran will determine the timing and method of the response.
He emphasized that Iran will determine the timing and method of its retaliation.
The response to the Israeli attack will be carried out with precision, causing the Zionist regime to regret its actions.
Major General Baqeri described the attack on Iran’s embassy in Damascus as a self-destructive move by Israel and stated that the sacrifice of Iranian military personnel will hasten Israel’s downfall.
He also pointed out that the U.S. bears primary responsibility for the attack in Damascus and must face consequences.
“The great nation of Iran and the free nations of the world yesterday created an extraordinary day in the history of the Islamic Revolution and the world with the Operation Al-Quds Storm, and the blood of martyr Zahedi and his comrades on the Day of Quds will let the criminal America and the oppressive and child-killing Zionists know that the days of this regime are numbered and its destruction is inevitable,” General Baqeri said.
He mentioned that those who had doubts about the true nature of America and Europe saw it in the case of Gaza, stating, “You see a small portion of the oppression they face, while conditions in Gaza are worse. After 6 months of constant bombardment of this small land, the Zionists did not achieve any of their goals.”
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) expressed gratitude for the Iranian populace's participation on Quds Day, affirming that the remorseful punishment of the criminal Zionist enemy will be realized.
The IRGC also conveyed appreciation for the public's attendance at the burial ceremony of Iranian military advisors who lost their lives in the attack on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in the Syrian capital of Damascus.
According to the statement, the steadfast presence of the Iranian people stands as a symbol of hope and support for the Palestinian cause and the resilient population of Gaza.
Highlighting the participation of the Iranian people in the Quds Day rally, the statement emphasized the message conveyed by the public's presence, reaffirming the righteousness of Palestinian resistance and condemning the oppression faced by the Gazans.
Moreover, the statement underscored the significant turnout of Iranians in the Quds Day rally as a clear denouncement of the crimes committed by the Zionist regime.
Israeli airstrikes on Monday afternoon destroyed the consular annex of Iran’s embassy in Damascus, Syria, resulting in the deaths of 13 individuals, including seven members of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).
Israel initiated a brutal campaign against Gaza on October 7 in response to Hamas' Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, following the regime's increased atrocities against Palestinians.
