TEHRAN- A Persian translation of “Philosophy of Love in the Past, Present, and Future” has recently been published by Doxa Publications in Tehran.

Co-written by André Grahle, Natasha McKeever, and Joe Saunders, the book has been translated into Persian by Turaj Allahverdi.

This book presents a collection of original essays that delve into the philosophy of love, examining its evolution and manifestations across the past, present, and future. The essays are thematically organized to provide insights into the historical, contemporary, and prospective perspectives on love.

In Part I, contributors delve into the historical roots of philosophical contemplation on love, drawing lessons from influential thinkers such as Plato, Aristotle, Kierkegaard, and Erich Fromm. They explore the ancient Greek philosophers' perspectives on love, Kierkegaard's criticism of selective affection, and Fromm's mystical views on intimate relationships.

Part II delves into current understandings and expressions of love, addressing the evolving nature of love, the dynamics of falling in love, and a novel exploration of grandparental love.

In Part III, the focus shifts towards the future trajectory of love, contemplating how technological advancements, including algorithm-driven dating platforms and robotic companions, influence romantic relationships.

This book is intended for researchers and advanced students in moral philosophy, social philosophy, and political philosophy who are engaged in scholarly inquiry on the multifaceted aspects of love. Whether investigating historical roots, contemporary implications, or prospective trajectories of love, this book offers a comprehensive examination of the philosophy of love for those interested in these intricate philosophical inquiries.
