TEHRAN - Tehran will host the eight International Conference on American Human Rights from the Perspective of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on July 2024.

The event will be held on the occasion of the American Human Rights Revision and Disclosure Week in Iran.

In a recent announcement, Amin Ansari, secretary general of the Human Rights Organization of Iranian Youths, unveiled plans for the upcoming eighth International Human Rights Conference. The event, set to align with the perspective of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and conducted in collaboration with the University of Tehran, will cast a spotlight on the egregious actions of the anti-Iran terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO).

According to Ansari, the conference will delve into nine distinct themes, each featuring its own specialized panel. With submissions for conference papers closing on May 23, the conference itself is slated to take place on July 2. Notably, the top five papers will earn publication in the esteemed scientific research journals of the University of Tehran, following rigorous evaluations by reviewers.

Among the conference's focal points, Ansari highlighted the grave violations of human rights perpetrated by MKO members such, their involvement in acts of terrorism and organized violence, and the insidious manipulation tactics deployed against victims. Emphasizing the international imperative to designate MKO as a terrorist group, Ansari drew attention to their entanglement in various judicial systems, exemplified by the case of Hamid Nouri in Sweden.

Furthermore, Ansari underscored the pivotal roles of key figures in orchestrating the conference, such as Alireza A’rafi, who heads the Scientific Policy Council, and Mohammad Moghimi, serving as the Secretary of the Scientific Committee for the conference.

Previous iterations of this conference have witnessed the active participation of universities, international institutions, and notable figures.
