Iran into 2024 Asian Age Group Championship semis

TEHRAN – Iran defeated Singapore 19-8 on Thursday at the 2024 Asian Age Group Championship.

Iran, who have defeated Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Kazakhstan in their previous matches in Group B, will play the winners of China and Uzbekistan in the competition’s semifinal on Friday.

Group A consists of Japan, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, China and Thailand.

The 11th Asian Age Group Championships include four aquatic disciplines, namely swimming, diving, water polo, and artistic swimming.

The competition is being held from Feb. 26 to March 9 at the New Clark City Aquatics Center in Capas, Tarlac, the Philippines.

More than 1,000 athletes from 25 countries compete at the tournament.
