Military advisor calls for 5,000-Kilometer expansion of strategic depth

TEHRAN- A military advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has advocated for expanding Iran's strategic reach to a distance of 5,000 kilometers, citing the Mediterranean Sea as a crucial aspect of strategic defense.

Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, speaking at a conference, emphasized the significance of deepening Iran's strategic depth, referencing the IRGC's historical role during the imposed war in the late 1980s. He highlighted the IRGC's connection with the Iranian people as a key factor in its development.

He credited the Leader of the Islamic Revolution for strengthening the resistance front over the past 34 years, noting the utilization of IRGC capabilities by General Soleimani.
