TEHRAN- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi asserted the armed force's indispensable role at the core of the country on Monday.        

Stressing Iran's self-reliance in security matters, the president emphasized the pivotal role played by the country's robust military and police apparatus in safeguarding its sovereignty.

Raisi made the remarks in an address to the graduation ceremony for the cadets studying in the academies of Iran’s Armed Forces which was held in Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba University of Officer and Police Training in Tehran on Monday.

Raisi underscored the significance of public vigilance and participation in bolstering national security, attributing the current state of safety to the synergy between vigilant citizens and the dedicated armed forces. 

He commended the unwavering dedication of the armed forces, shaped by the guidance of the Islamic Revolution's Leader, as a testament to their integrity and readiness.

"The armed forces stand as a source of national pride, deeply ingrained in the hearts of our people," declared the president, acknowledging their pivotal role in shielding the populace from external threats. 

He reiterated the government's commitment to equipping the police with modern tools and resources, underscoring the imperative of staying abreast of evolving security challenges.

Despite external pressures and attempts to sow discord, Raisi affirmed the Iranian nation's resilience and commitment to progress. 

He praised the police force's steadfast adherence to the rule of law, which has garnered widespread public trust and support.

In a pointed critique, Raisi denounced the American military as the "most reviled" globally, underscoring widespread international solidarity with Palestine in the face of oppression. 

He reiterated the duty of the armed forces to serve and protect the people, emphasizing their pivotal role in ensuring national security.

Acknowledging the pivotal role of the Iranian populace, Raisi expressed gratitude for their active participation in national events and democratic processes, citing recent elections as a testament to their commitment to shaping the country's future.

Drawing parallels between the police force and a compassionate guardian, Raisi emphasized the need for firm but fair enforcement of the law to deter criminal activities. 

He highlighted the force's professionalism and dedication to upholding justice and order.
