4 Iranian illustrators among Bologna Children Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition winners
TEHRAN-Four Iranian illustrators are among the winners of the 58th Illustrators Exhibition of the 61st Bologna Children Book Fair (BCBF), which is due to be held from April 8 to 11 in Bologna, Italy.
According to Iranian Illustrators Society website, Amir Alaei, Parvin Heydarizadeh, Fereshteh Najafi, and Noushin Sadeghian are among the 79 winners from 31 countries.
For the 58th Illustrators Exhibition 3,520 participants from all over the world (81 countries and regions represented) sent their works. The winners were chosen from among 344 finalist.
Works of all the winning artists are to be presented at the exhibition, which will be organized at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
The works will also be published in the well-known Illustrators Annual, published in Italian, English, Japanese and Chinese, and distributed to publishers across the globe.
The winners will also be offered the opportunity to win The International Award of Illustration BCBF – Fundación SM (for the illustrators under 35), to win the ARS IN FABULA Grant Award (for the under 30), and to be chosen to create the trade show’s Visual Identity of the following year, in collaboration with Chialab Design.
A major BCBF highlight, the Illustrators Exhibition is a unique international showcase for state-of-the-art trends in illustrations for children and young adults.
