Kuwaiti companies' endorsement facilitates visa issuance for Iranian traders, says ambassador
TEHRAN- Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait, Mohammad Toutounchi, addressed the challenges surrounding visa issuance for Iranian tradesmen, acknowledging the recent visa-related difficulties faced by Iranian citizens.
He noted that amidst decisions aimed at restructuring the population in Kuwait following the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kuwaiti government has notably tightened visa processes, particularly for pilgrimage and family reunification purposes.
Toutounchi highlighted recent developments, indicating that in the past few weeks, there has been progress in visa issuances for Iranians.
According to Toutounchi, Iranian tradesmen seeking entry for business purposes may obtain visas if sponsored by reputable Kuwaiti companies.
Underlining the ongoing efforts of the Iranian embassy in Kuwait to streamline visa procedures, Toutounchi expressed optimism for further improvements.
He affirmed the embassy's commitment to facilitating smoother visa processes, aligning to enhance bilateral economic ties between Iran and Kuwait.
