Pooladgar named Iran’s chef de mission at 2024 Paralympic Games

TEHRAN – Mohammad Pooladgar has been named as Iran’s chef de mission for the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, France.

Pooladgar was named as vice president of Iran’s National Paralympic Committee (NPC) in December 2023.

He was chosen as the chef de mission by the Council of Directors of the Iran’s NPC, headed by President Ghafour Kargari, on Tuesday.  

In the 2020 Paralympic Games, the Iranian delegation claimed 12 gold medals11 silvers and one bronze, finishing in 12th place.

The Paris 2024 Games will be the biggest sporting event ever organized in France. This event is set to take place over 12 magical days from Aug. 28 to Sept. 8, bringing together 4,400 of the world's most outstanding Paralympic athletes.
