Tehran’s Vahdat Hall to host mugham music concert
TEHRAN-Tehran’s Vahdat Hall will be hosting a mugham music concert on March 11.
Vocalist Nasser Atapur will will take center stage, accompanied by "Mugham" group, Mehr reported on Monday.
This concert marks the second installment of the esteemed "Seven Cities of Love" project, which is scheduled to enchant audiences in both Tehran and Tabriz.
The performance in Tabriz will take place on March 6 and 7 at the International Conference Center of Tabriz, and Vahdat Hall will also host this program on February 10 in a single performance.
Mugham music is a traditional genre of music that originated in Azerbaijan and has deep roots in Persian culture. It is a complex and intricate form of music that is characterized by its emotional depth, improvisational nature, and intricate melodic patterns.
Mugham music is typically performed by a singer, known as a mugham singer, accompanied by musicians playing traditional instruments such as the tar, kamancheh, and balaban.
