TEHRAN – Iran national team were defeated against the Philippines 14-2 at the 2024 IIHF World Championship Division III on Saturday.

Iran had lost to host Bosnia 3-0 in their first match.

Team Melli will play North Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, respectively.

The tournament’s winners will go to division III A.

The Group A tournament will be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan from March 10 to 16 and the Group B tournament is being held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina from Feb. 23 to 29.
