Raisi warns of 'enemy plots' to downplay Iran's progress
TEHRAN- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi addressed a conference on Monday, highlighting the Iranian nation's progress since the Islamic Revolution and cautioning against "enemy plots" seeking to downplay these achievements.
Citing remarks by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, Raisi emphasized the importance of recognizing and communicating the country's advancements to the younger generation. "The world must understand that the Revolution has fostered hope," he declared.
Referencing the Ten-Day Dawn, also known as the Fajr decade of the Revolution, Raisi characterized it as a "decade of hope" driven by the Late Founder of the Islamic Revolution's vision for "a great evolution."
He acknowledged the adversaries' thwarted attempts to impede this progress.
The president attributed regional developments and the "Islamic awakening" to the Revolution's influence, which he said transformed the landscape of resistance against the Israeli occupation. Highlighting the evolution of this resistance, he noted the shift from earlier Intifadas to the current "missile war."
"Despite sanctions and threats," Raisi asserted, "enemy efforts to exert maximum pressure have failed against the Revolution." He warned, however, of "enemy plots" employing media propaganda, rumors, and manipulated narratives to distort the country's progress and weaknesses.
"If we don't tell our story," Raisi cautioned, "others will create their own." He advocated for honest communication of the nation's advancements, lest "others create a narrative far from reality."
The president concluded by attributing the country's achievements to the people's participation, the directives of Ayatollah Khamenei, and the unwavering resolve of Iranian citizens.
