Iran condemns West Bank hospital raid by Israeli forces
TEHRAN - Nasser Kanaani, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has strongly condemned the actions of the Zionist regime in assassinating several injured Palestinians at a hospital in the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank.
Earlier on Tuesday, Israeli forces disguised as medical staff and civilians shot dead three Palestinians inside a hospital in the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank. The killings were carried out by undercover operatives while the men were sleeping at Ibn Sina Hospital, according to statements issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Health and the Israeli army.
Kanaani emphasized the urgency for countries worldwide and international organizations to denounce this terrorist act. He urged everyone to recognize the potential global impact of fostering organized terrorism and highlighted this incident as a warning signal to societies, stressing the need for robust condemnation.
Expressing concern, Kanaani pointed out the silence of supporters of the Zionist regime. These supporters, quick to pressure the oppressed people of Palestine and condemn their legitimate defense against occupation, have chosen to remain silent in the face of blatant crimes by the occupying regime in hospitals and medical centers. He condemned their complicity through silence in the ongoing genocidal actions.
“Silence over Gaza shows moral collapse of Western ethics”
Kanaani took to his social media account to condemn the ongoing massacre of Palestinians in Gaza. He criticized the hypocrisy of Western countries preaching 'comprehensive global values' while participating in the killing of over 26,000 people in Gaza, exposing the reality of their values.
The spokesman underscored, "For nearly four months, the comprehensive siege, marked by crimes against 2.2 million people in the open-air prison known as Gaza, including widespread massacres of women and children, hindrance of access to medicine for the injured, war crimes, and the genocide of Palestinians by the Israeli regime, has been both acknowledged and endorsed by proponents of American-European values."
In the latest development, some Western countries have suspended their humanitarian aid to Palestinian refugees provided by the international organization 'UNRWA,' based on false accusations from Israel. This action contributed to the forced relocation of Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank.
Kanaani added, “The world bears witness to the decline and moral collapse of Western ethics within the context of Gaza.”
“NATO accusations are like a bitter satire”
In another statement, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also criticized the baseless accusations and statements by the NATO Secretary-General regarding the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region.
On Tuesday morning, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) accused Iran of continuously destabilizing the West Asian region, leveling baseless accusations.
Kanaani likened the allegations by the NATO Secretary-General to a bitter satire, highlighting that NATO, along with certain members with a dark history of colonialism, destructive policies, interventionist actions, and military interventions in West Asia and other regions, is a primary contributor to instability and insecurity in all parts of the world.
Kanaani reiterated Iran's principled foreign policy, focusing on strengthening relations with neighbors based on good neighborliness and mutual respect. He underscored Iran's commitment to rejecting foreign interventions and striving for a stable, secure, and prosperous region.
