Israel turns to criminal acts out of desperation: spokesman
TEHRAN – Iranian government spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi says the assassination of Iranian military advisors in Syria by Israel indicated the regime’s desperate acts due to its continued failures.
Speaking at a weekly press conference in Tehran on Tuesday, Bahadori Jahromi conveyed condolences and attributed these events to the ongoing confrontation with Israel that also illustrates an alliance between Daesh and the Zionist regime.
In a statement on Saturday, the IRGC said that five of its members serving on a military advisory mission in Syria were assassinated in an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in the tightly guarded Mezzeh neighborhood, west of Damascus.
Bahadori Jahromi also denounced the attacks on Yemen by the United States, the Zionist regime, and Britain, expressing an expectation of appropriate responses from Arab and Islamic countries.
In reference to the upcoming visit of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to Turkey, the spokesman noted the preparations for his trip with a high-ranking delegation scheduled for Thursday.
Bahadori Jahromi continued by stating that the trip is taking place at the invitation of the Turkish counterpart, aiming to provide an opportunity to discuss various documents of cooperation in economic, transportation, trade, media, and transportation sectors.
He emphasized the substantial increase in trade volume between Iran and Turkey, indicating that the trade volume reached $9.5 billion in the first ten months of this year, marking a 40% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
Bahadori Jahromi acknowledged the numerous capacities for cooperation between Iran and Turkey, asserting that these trips will undoubtedly contribute to promoting these capacities. Additionally, he noted that regional issues, particularly the cessation of Zionist regime attacks on Gaza, will be discussed with Turkish party during this trip.
