Raisi visits Tehran Province’s eastern counties
TEHRAN - President Ebrahim Raisi visited Firuzkuh and Damavand counties in the east of the capital Tehran on Thursday, during which he held meetings with local officials and visited some major projects.
During the one-day trip, Raisi visited some important construction projects and met with the people of Firuzkuh and Damavand, IRNA reported.
The president also chaired the meeting of the administrative council of Firuzkoh and Damavand in which decisions were made about construction projects and the approvals of the visit were summarized.
Speaking at the council meeting on Thursday evening, Raisi noted that the problems and issues in Damavand and Firuzkuh can be solved, adding: “It is necessary to identify and solve these problems as soon as possible.”
According to Raisi, the traffic between Tehran, Damavand and Firuzkuh is considered a capacity for these cities, and considering the good weather of the region many people and investors are eager to do business in the area, so solving the problems of the mentioned cities requires instant action.
He stated that supporting agriculture and animal husbandry in Firuzkuh can transform the economy of this region.
“Promoting the tourism economy in Firuzkuh and Damavand is one of the important axes that the government is pursuing,” he said.
