About $230m allocated for transportation projects in a month

TEHRAN – The latest data released by Iran’s Planning and Budget Organization (PBO) indicates that some 115 trillion rials (about $230 million) has been allocated to transportation projects over the past Iranian calendar month (November 22-December 21, 2023).

The mentioned budget has been allocated to complete provincial and national projects, mostly those that have been approved during President Raisi’s provincial trips, IRNA reported.

As reported, the said projects include freeways, highways, railways, and the improvement of main and rural roads.

Improving the fleet, renovating and maintaining railway lines and removing bottlenecks of railway lines, connecting Chabahar Port to the national rail network, removal of accident-prone points on the arterial roads of the country with priority on high-traffic routes are also among the projects that are going to be implemented using the mentioned credit.
