Ground Force chief warns of combined warfare threat
TEHRAN- Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari, the commander of the Iranian Army Ground Forces, has warned that enemies are preparing for a combined warfare.
Speaking to the staff of the operational headquarters of the Army, General Heidari emphasized the need for heightened vigilance and preparation to counter this multifaceted threat.
Pointing to the principles of command in the Ground Forces, Heidari said, "Today, Velayat al-Faqih (the rule of supreme jurisprudent) is an objective symbol of the straight path, which, thanks to the grace of God, is blessed with the powerful presence of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution."
Underscoring the multifaceted nature of hybrid warfare, General Heidari highlighted it extends beyond traditional military battles to include political, virtual, nuclear, social, and cultural dimensions. "The enemies have combined all their might to attack our country via hybrid war," he remarked.
He urged the armed forces to enhance their insight and awareness, not only among themselves but also among their families and employees. "We must prepare ourselves more than ever to face the enemies in order to prevent them from achieving their sinister goals," he pointed out.
Turning to the upcoming parliamentary elections in late winter, General Heidari acknowledged the "special conditions of the region" and the "direct impact of the elections on Islamic societies" that further underscore the importance of the elections.
