Interpol offers support to Iran following Kerman terrorist attack
TEHRAN- Interpol Secretary General Jurgen Stock has condemned the cruel terrorist attack in Kerman, offering Interpol's full support to Iran.
In a message to Iranian Police Chief General Ahmad Reza Radan, Stock expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the Iranian people for the devastating loss of life and injuries caused by the attack.
"Interpol is ready to provide full cooperation and support to Iran,” Stock stated.
The deadly explosion struck a procession of mourners commemorating the martyrdom of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani on the anniversary of his assassination. The blast, which occurred just 700 meters from the general's tomb in Kerman's Martyrs' Golzar cemetery, claimed the lives of 91 people and left 284 injured.
Shortly after the attack, the terrorist group Daesh claimed responsibility for the atrocity.
Interpol's commitment to upholding international standards of law enforcement and combating terrorism is unwavering, and the organization stands ready to provide Iran with the necessary resources and support to bring those responsible for the Kerman attack to justice.
