Iranian commander vows forceful response to anti-Iranian action
TEHRAN- The commander of the Iranian Army’s ground force has warned that any hostile rhetoric or actions against Iran will be met with a "crushing response."
Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari emphasized that safeguarding the nation's borders is a fundamental aspect of the army’s operations.
He asserted, "In the event of any hostile actions threatening our interests, we are prepared to respond with force."
Speaking on Sunday, Brigadier General Heidari emphasized that the Army's ground force is firmly stationed at all four corners of the country's borders and will not hesitate to defend Iran's interests.
He added that if the enemies try to undermine Iran’s security or interests, the army will respond with force.
The general also pointed to the Army's active role in providing humanitarian assistance to the Iranian people during natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic.
He added that the Army has a strong presence in the social and political spheres, with 99% of its personnel participating in the recent presidential election.
He concluded by highlighting the Army's contributions to the Arbaeen pilgrimage, which commemorates the martyrdom of Imam Hussein. He said that Army personnel are dedicated to serving the pilgrims.
