At least 22,600 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said on Friday.

A total of 57,910 people have also been wounded, the majority of them women and children. About 7,000 are missing, presumed to be dead under the rubble.

In a statement, the ministry said it had recorded 162 deaths over the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, massive crowds gathered in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, and other cities in a demonstration of solidarity with Palestinians.

Al Masirah TV said two million Yemenis participated in the “Blood of the Free People…on the Road to Victory” march.

Live footage from the Al-Sabeen Square in Sanaa showed an endless sea of demonstrators, many carrying Palestinian flags.

A rally statement said the Yemenis are ready to fight the U.S. and commemorated their 10 fighters killed by the U.S. last week, condemned al-Arouri’s assassination in Lebanon, and urged an Arab boycott of Israeli and U.S. goods and products.

Also, thousands of demonstrators in Jordan’s capital Amman rallied in support of Palestinians in Gaza, calling for an end to normalization with Israel.

The march began in front of the Husseini Mosque shortly after Friday afternoon prayers, and the main slogans chanted during the rally dealt with supporting the Palestinians in Gaza and denouncing Jordan’s relations with Israel.

There were reports of a similar demonstration taking place in the city of Nizwa in Oman.
