TEHRAN- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi expressed his deepest condolences on Wednesday following the assassination of Saleh al-Arouri, deputy head of the Hamas politburo.

Raisi condemned the act as a sign of the Zionists' helplessness in the face of the unwavering resistance of the Palestinian people.

"I am confident that the blood of these martyrs will pave the way for the ultimate victory of Palestine and the liberation of al-Quds," Raisi stated.

Also, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) firmly condemned the Israeli terrorist drone attack in southern Beirut.

The terror act also led to the martyrdom of two al-Qassam Brigades commanders, who served as al-Arouri’s bodyguards.

Strongly denouncing the Zionist regime's brutal action, the IRGC emphasized that it violated Lebanon's territorial sovereignty. The statement also pointed out that the martyrdom of these esteemed individuals further demonstrates the Zionist regime's reliance on violence and its thirst for war.

"Undoubtedly, terror and crime will not undo the damage inflicted on the Zionist regime by Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, nor will such actions alter the resistance's strategic calculations," the IRGC statement asserted.

The statement concluded by declaring that the Zionist regime's war machine in Gaza is on its last legs and has no choice but to surrender to the will of the Palestinian fighters and Hamas's mujahideen.

According to the statement, the people of Gaza and Hamas stand as the victors on the battlefield, with their glorious and powerful resistance.

Saleh al-Arouri, the deputy Hamas politburo chief, was assassinated in an Israeli drone strike in southern Beirut late on Tuesday.
