TEHRAN – Brigadier General Amir Hatami, a military advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, has commended the enduring influence of General Qassem Soleimani's name on Resistance forces.

In a speech at Imam Ali University in Tehran on Wednesday, Hatami passionately discussed the significance of Soleimani's legacy in shaping the perspectives of the youth in Iran, the region, and beyond.

The advisor emphasized that General Soleimani's teachings have evolved into a guiding model for many youths globally.

Hatami, who served as defense minister in the Rouhani administration, also criticized the actions of the Zionist regime in Gaza and condemned the support for the regime by the United States and some other Western countries, saying they go against human and international principles.

The brigadier general acknowledged the steadfastness of the oppressed people of Gaza, commending their resilience against adversity.

He also addressed the crimes of the Zionist regime against the defenseless people of Gaza, criticizing the global hegemonic system's perpetual enmity towards the Islamic system.

The former minister also pointed to the failure of the oppressive Zionist regime, asserting that despite its unspeakable crimes, it has not achieved its objectives in defeating Hamas and weakening the Resistance forces.

Shifting the focus to the progress of the Iranian armed forces, particularly the home-grown equipment, Hatami noted significant advancements compared to the pre-Islamic-revolution and Iran-Iraq war eras.

He credited the commitment of the Defense Ministry to self-sufficiency, including reverse engineering, increased production of ground combat weapons, and maximizing the country's industrial, scientific, and academic capacities.

In conclusion, Hatami declared that the Islamic Republic of Iran, under the wise leadership of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and drawing from the experiences of the eight years of imposed war in the 1980s, has achieved unparalleled and undisputed defense capabilities at regional and global levels, effectively deterring any threat or war.

As part of his visit, Amir Hatami explored an exhibition showcasing the scientific, research, managerial, and military achievements of Imam Ali University, gaining insights into the advancements made by the institution.
