Iran’s defense minister sends New Year wishes, condemning Gaza violence
TEHRAN- Iran’s Defense Minister has sent New Year greetings to his counterparts in several countries, calling for a year free of violence.
Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani also wished a new year filled with peace, justice, freedom, spirituality, morality, and progress.
In his New Year message to his counterparts in various countries, the Iranian Defense Minister extended his warm greetings and expressed heartfelt wishes for a year brimming with love, friendship, and peace. He highlighted the significance of the New Year as a time to reflect on the past and embrace new beginnings, fostering harmonious relationships and striving for a more peaceful world.
Brigadier General Ashtiani sent the message to his counterparts in Indonesia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Italy, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Russia, Serbia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Poland, South, Burkina Faso, Bolivia, Thailand, Philippines, China, Zimbabwe, Japan, Syria, Sierra Leone, Iraq, Congo, Kenya, Cuba, Lebanon, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Venezuela, India, Korea and Vietnam.
The Minister of Defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran conveyed the following message:
As we step into the year 2024, the closing months of 2023 have borne witness to a tragic scenario unfolding in Gaza—a disturbing spectacle of genocide, war crimes, and the merciless massacre of children and defenseless Gazans.
Perpetrated by the Zionist regime, these heinous acts have stirred anger among freedom seekers across the globe.
