TEHRAN – The production of heavy vehicles including trucks, mini-trucks, and tractors increased by 21 percent in the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-December 21, 2023) as compared to the same period in the previous year.

Based on the Industry Ministry data, 27,829 heavy vehicles were manufactured in the mentioned nine months while the figure was 23,089 in the previous year’s same nine months, Fars News Agency reported.

Car manufacturing in Iran rose 13 percent in the said nine months as compared to the same period in the previous year.

Iranian carmakers managed to manufacture over 989,913 vehicles in the first nine months of the current year while the figure stood at 887,612 in the corresponding period of the previous year.
