TEHRAN-  Four members of a sabotage team affiliated with Israel were executed in West Azerbaijan Province on Friday after being convicted of spying for the Israeli regime.

The four members, who had been convicted of crimes against national security, were hanged after going through the legal process.

These members had been involved in kidnapping Iranian security officials and setting fire to their cars and homes.

They had also been accused of making videos and photos of their operations and sending them to Israeli intelligence officers.

The four members were among a group of 10 people who were arrested in October on suspicion of being affiliated with Israel.

The head of the judiciary in West Azerbaijan province said at the time that the 10 were accused of trying to identify intelligence officers who were working against Israel.

He said they had been arrested through intelligence monitoring and that they had been receiving money from Israeli intelligence officers and Mossad agents.

The four main convicts are named Wafa Henare, Aram Omari, Rahman Parhaz, and Nasim Namazi.
