TEHRAN – Bam Khatoon football club players Zahra Khajavi and Behnaz Taherkhani, who hospitalized at the Pasteur Hospital in Bam, remain in stable condition.

They remain at the hospital's intensive care unit but in a stable condition following the crash.

They were initially listed in critical condition but have since been upgraded to stable.

Saturday night, Iran’s women’s football team defender Melika Mohammadi died in the car crash at the age of 23.

Her teammates Khajavi and Taherkhani were also taken to the hospital in the rollover crash.
