TEHRAN – The Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (TCCIMA) held a specialized meeting to explore the issues related to the health sector’s economic aspects, with a focus on pharmacies.

As the TCCIMA portal reported, the meeting was attended by TCCIMA Head Mahmoud Najafi-Arab and the representatives of various unions and business operators active in the health sector.

Speaking at this gathering, Najafi-Arab mentioned some of the problems and challenges faced by economic operators in this field and noted that some comments against the private sector’s performance in the health sector are not fair.

He called the private sector’s performance in the health sector defendable, efficient, and positive.  

Stating that this part of the economy, despite its nature and functions, especially in the field of medicine and medical equipment, is trans-sectoral, he clarified that such negative comments will fuel confusion and mistrust in this vital sector that is directly related to the health of society.
