Omani delegation visits Iran’s National Defense University
TEHRAN- An Omani delegation comprising professors and students of the National Defense College of the Sultanate of Oman has visited Iran’s National Defense University.
In October, Esmail Ahmadi Moqaddam, the head of Iran's National Defense University, visited Oman to meet with Major General Hamid Ahmed Said Sakroun, who is in charge of Oman's Strategic and Defense Studies Academy. Following that visit, Ahmed Salim Mohamed Baomar led an Omani delegation to Iran, and they arrived on Saturday.
Speaking in a ceremony, Baomar, the head of the Omani delegation, highlighted the historical and geographical commonalities between Tehran and Muscat.
He also stressed that other shared interests such as the geopolitical position, and diplomatic and political relations of the two states have brought Iran and Oman closer together.
According to Baomar, the presence of the Omani delegation in Iran is reminiscent of the two states’ close relations.
Pointing to the experiences of Iran’s National Defense University, Baomar expressed hope that the Omani delegation could use the rich experience at the university.
In the end, he expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality of Iranian officials and wished the Islamic Republic progress and pride.
