Parliament reviews bill improving services for Iranians living abroad
TEHRAN- The spokesman for Iran's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Abolfazl Amouei, announced that a bill to support Iranians living abroad will be reviewed by the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC).
Referring to the Sunday meeting of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, the Iranian lawmaker said, “In this meeting, the 5 basic articles of the bill for the protection of Iranians living abroad were approved with amendments.”
Amouei added that according to the second article, the government is tasked to facilitate the recruitment of elites living abroad in educational centers, knowledge-based institutions, and executive bodies.
According to Amouei, facilitating economic activity and investment for Iranians living abroad is another task that will be on the shoulders of the government.
“Also, the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has to provide smart government services to the Iranians abroad,” the lawmaker added.
He noted that there are 16 articles in the bill aimed at improving government services for Iranians living abroad, including facilitating their movement and communications in scientific, cultural, and economic spheres.
