Iran new ambassador to Malaysia begins mission
TEHRAN- Iran’s new Ambassador to Malaysia, Valiollah Mohammadi-Nasrabadi, met on Sunday with Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian in Tehran ahead of his departure to Malaysia.
Amir Abdollahian discussed the importance of Malaysia in the world of Islam and in the East Asian region during the meeting.
The senior Iranian diplomat urged Mohammadi-Nasrabadi to work on strengthening Tehran’s connections with Kuala Lumpur in the fields of research, technology, tourism, health, and agriculture.
The foreign minister emphasized the significance of offering appropriate consular services to Iranian nationals who reside in Malaysia.
Mohammadi-Nasrabadi has already acted as Iran’s chargé d'affaires in South Africa and Iran’s ambassador to Indonesia, Ghana and Togo.
In addition, he held several positions in the Iranian Foreign Ministry and was a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Iran FM advocates for deepening cultural, economic connections with Afghanistan
Prior to his arrival in Afghanistan, Iran’s new consul general in Mazar-e-Sharif, Hamidreza Ahmadi, met on Sunday with Amir Abdollahian in Tehran.
The necessity of fostering bilateral economic and cultural cooperation with Afghanistan has been underlined by Amir Abdollahian.
Ahmadi has worked at the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s embassies in the Ivory Coast, Dublin, and Belgrade, holding a number of positions.
