Four swimmers to represent Iran at 2023 Vladimir Salnikov Cup
TEHRAN – Iran young swimming federation will send four swimmers to the 2023 Vladimir Salnikov Cup.
The tournament will be held from Dec. 16 to 18 at the Water Sports Center Nevskaya Volna Swimming Pool in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Ali Rashidpour, Arad Mehdizadeh, Mohammad Ghasemi, and Alireza Arab will participate in the competition.
The four-member team will be headed by Khashayar Hazrati in the event.
The tournament will have some changes – For the first time, the competition will be held during three days.
“Our swimmers were supposed to take part in the 11th Asian Age Group Swimming Championship in the Philippines but the event was postponed. We will participate in Russia’s tournament to keep our swimmers ready for the Asian championship,” Hazrati told the Tehran Times.
