TEHRAN- Iran held an event on Wednesday called “Red Olive” to commemorate the 62 journalists martyred in Gaza.

The event was held in the presence of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Mahdi Esmaeil, who said that “all media, regardless of political and factional differences, have been working on the Palestinian issue, for which I thank all of them.”

He continued, “The Palestinian people defended their right. More than 5 thousand children have been martyred in Palestine so far. Such a horrible crime has not happened in history, maybe it can be compared with Pharaoh’s crime. The number of martyrs from media colleagues who are supporting all over the world has reached over 60 people. Yesterday, two journalists of al-Mayadeen were martyred.”
