Amir Abdollahian says passage of time will never work in Israel favor

TEHRAN- Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has said that six weeks of Gaza’s resistance unquestionably shown that time will never be on the side of the Israeli regime.

Upon an official invitation from the Lebanese officials, Iran’s foreign minister arrived at Beirut airport on Wednesday and was warmly welcomed by the leaders of the Palestinian and Lebanese groups.

The tour is being undertaken in the context of the Iranian top diplomat’s talks and negotiations with regional and international officials on the Palestinian issue.

He stated that the Palestinians’ 6-week resistance proved that the United States and Israel are the primary losers.

Amir Abdollahian also paid homage to the Palestinian and Lebanese journalist victims, namely two journalists killed in southern Lebanon.

During a press conference, he noted that “there is no doubt that the future of Gaza and Palestine will be determined by the Palestinian people only.”

He went on to add that he has heard from the leaders of the resistance that the hands of the resistance will remain on the triggers until the full rights of the Palestinian people are achieved and the confrontation with the occupying regime will bear fruit.

He initiated his trip to Beirut in a bid to consult with the Lebanese high-profile officials about how to maximize security in the region and how to achieve Palestinian rights.

During the conference, the representative of Hamas in Lebanon said, “We are grateful to Iran for standing by the resistance and supporting it against the invaders.”

He added, “The Palestinian resistance has won great victories in the ground battle.”

Referring to the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran in showing political support for the Palestinian resistance and the support of the resistance axis, Abdul Hadi stressed, “All is done with the efforts of the resistance axis, which is led by the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

“The victory of the resistance and stability of our nation is what led us to impose a ceasefire on the enemy and impose the terms of the resistance,” he continued.

In his visit to Lebanon, Amir Abdollahian exchanged views with several Lebanese officials including parliament speaker Nabih Berri. They discussed the latest bilateral, regional, and international issues including the Israeli war on Gaza.

“Israeli regime seeks vengeance on Palestinian civilians after failing to defeat resistance”

During a meeting with foreign ambassadors and officials of international organizations in the Islamic Republic on Tuesday, Amir Abdollahian said that the Israeli regime has been desperately trying to exact revenge on the Palestinian people after failing to defeat the resistance.

The senior diplomat pointed out that children, women, and the elderly constituted up to 70% of Palestinian casualties, calling Israeli atrocities “genocide” and a “war crime.”

He went on to add, “Iran will keep striving to have the perpetrators of these crimes tried at international tribunals even after conclusion of the war.”

Meanwhile, Amir Abdollahian highlighted that the U.S. is, on the one hand, requesting Iran to urge the resistance groups defending Gaza to show prudence and self-restraint, while, on the other, throwing its full support behind the Israeli regime.

He also described the U.S.’s two-sided mentality as “completely paradoxical.”

The foreign minister stated that Iran had no “proxy groups” in the region, implying that it was not the Islamic Republic’s responsibility to impose pressure on the resistance outfits.

He also emphasized that the U.S. had not refrained from providing military backing to the Israeli regime during the conflict, “even for a single hour,” and that it was expecting the resistance to exercise self-restraint.

Amir Abdollahian mentioned the U.S. and Israel’s so-called post-war plans for Gaza, referring to Washington and Tel Aviv’s claims that the territory would not be governed by the Hamas resistance groups after the conflict.

He emphasized the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and restated the Islamic Republic’s proposal that the Palestinian conflict be settled by a referendum in which all of the country’s original residents must participate.

In a post on the X platform on Monday, Amir Abdollahian demanded immediate international action to save Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip, where Israel’s continuing genocide against the besieged region has claimed hundreds of lives.

The plight of children in Gaza has drawn the attention of rights activists and anti-war groups around the world as protests are being held almost on a daily basis in cities in Western countries to press the Israeli regime to stop its massacre of women and children in the blockaded territory.

The regime has indiscriminately targeted hospitals, refugee camps, mosques, churches, and UN facilities including shelters where displaced people have sought safety which can be regarded as one aspect of the Israeli regime’s continuous assault on Gaza.
