TEHRAN- The Iranian chargé d'affaires to the UK, Seyed Mehdi Hosseini Matin, has raised concerns over the British government's stance on the recent protests against Israel.

According to the diplomat, approximately 2 million people have taken to the streets over the past six weeks to demonstrate against the UK's unwavering support for Israel's actions in Gaza.

“Six weeks of anti-Israeli marches & protests in London, at least 3 hundred thousand each time (according to UK sources); in total around 2 million people (1.8m) protested against unconditional support of Israeli brutalities in Gaza. Does this statistic mean anything to the UK?” wrote the Iranian diplomat on X on Monday.

He also shared a picture on X, which depicted the widespread wave of protests in London.

The demonstrations were aimed at condemning the killing and genocide of the people of Gaza by the Zionist regime.

The protests were held under the slogan of “Free Palestine,” with pro-Palestinian protestors holding the Palestinian flags in their hands.
