Family fiction “Worthy Opponents” published in Persian
TEHRAN-The Persian translation of “Worthy Opponents” written by the American author Danielle Steel has been released in the Iranian book market.
Translated by Sara Rousta, the book has been published by Shalgardan Publication, which is a specialized publisher of art and literature books, Mehr reported.
“Worthy Opponents” is a riveting and dynamic tale of family, wealth and success from the number one bestselling author, Danielle Steel. The story is about a woman running her family’s luxury department store and the wealthy investor who threatens to take it over.
Best known for her romance novels, Danielle Steel, 76, is the bestselling living author and one of the best-selling fiction authors of all time, with over 800 million copies sold. As of 2021, she has written 190 books, including over 140 novels. Her international bestsellers include “The Whittiers,” “The High Notes” and “The Challenge”.
Based in California for most of her career, Steel has produced several books a year, often juggling up to five projects at once. Her books often involve rich families facing a crisis, threatened by dark elements such as prison, fraud, blackmail and suicide. Steel has also published children's fiction and poetry, as well as creating a foundation that funds mental illness-related organizations. Her books have been translated into 43 languages, with 22 adapted for television.
