Iranian MP calls for action against Israel as Arab states remain impotent
TEHRAN – An Iranian lawmaker has repeated calls on Arab states to end their normalization deals with Israel in the face of the regime’s relentless attacks against the Gaza Strip.
“If Arab countries stop their economic support of the Zionist regime and cut off their oil exports to the Zionist regime, we will not see the continuation of Zionist expansionism in the region,” said Mohammad Hassan Asafari on Saturday.
The parliament member pointed out President Ebrahim Raisi’s proposed solutions during the Arab-Islamic summit held in Riyadh last week, urging Islamic countries to seriously take into account the proposals. “We should not remain silent about the crimes being committed against the people of Gaza and take steps to help the people of Gaza and stop this crime.”
He also explained that the U.S. is fully complicit in Israeli crimes, noting that no action is taken by Zionist leaders without a “green light” from Washington.
“American leaders come to power with the support of Zionist lobbyists and Israeli money, and the U.S. Congress and Senate are formed with the support and sponsorship of Zionists, so they have no choice but to support the Zionist regime,” he added.
Zionists must be tried in court
Another Iranian lawmaker on Saturday, urged the establishment of a regional and international court in order to hold Israelis accountable for their heinous crimes against humanity.
“An Israeli politician recently demanded the regime to ‘burn Gaza’,” Ali Haddadi mentioned, asking the international community to adopt a firm stance against the regime’s incendiary comments.
“Today people around the world have joined Muslims to call for an end to the Israeli occupation. In the past, Israel’s barbarism got whitewashed with the help of Western media. But today everyone can see the regime for what it really is”.
Haddadi also suggested that Israel is following in the footsteps of Nazi Germany, as it is seeking to unfold a genocide in the besieged Gaza Strip.
