'Genocide in Gaza test of humanity conscience'

TEHRAN- The spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry has called for worldwide action to end Israeli crimes in Gaza, saying the crisis is a test of humanity’s morality.

Nasser Kanaani wrote in a post on X on Friday, “Gaza is a test for humanity to test its conscience! No living and awakened conscience will remain silent after seeing images of the massacre of Palestinians in Gaza, the complete siege of over 2 million people, the bombing of hospitals and the killing of patients, and the siege of a children hospital.”

The world shouldn’t wait for the UN Security Council, according to Kanaani, as the body lacks the resolve to stop the slaughter taking place in Gaza given the backing that the West provides to Israel.

The spokesman went on to add, “Is the world waiting for the UN Security Council? This Council has no will to stop the Zionist regime’s killing machine and end the genocide of Palestinians under the shadow of the U.S. veto and the support of England and France for the evil Zionist regime!”

Kanaani also denounced U.S. backing for Israel, saying it gives the regime more confidence to carry out atrocities.

“This stain will never be removed from America’s forehead that with the full support of the U.S. government, the Israeli regime is freely massacring and genociding Palestinians!”
