President Raisi due to attend Islamic summit on Gaza in Riyadh on Saturday
TEHRAN- Iran’s President, Ebrahim Raisi, is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia in order to participate in an extraordinary summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) over the assault on Gaza by the Israeli regime.
President Raisi will depart Tehran for Riyadh on Saturday.
Along with the heads of state of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the president of Iran will discuss ways to cease the Zionist regime’s atrocities against the Palestinian people, remove the blockade of Gaza, and provide aid to those living in the beleaguered enclave.
On Thursday, high-ranking officials held a meeting in Riyadh in preparation for the upcoming extraordinary summit.
During the preliminary meeting, delegations from OIC countries discussed the draft final communiqué, which will be submitted for consideration to the preparatory Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and then to the Summit for adoption.
