Iran sports minister Hashemi optimistic about cooperating with China

TEHRAN - Iran's Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs Kioumars Hashemi has penned a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China IPPR International Engineering Corporation to undertake the construction of a new stadium in Tehran, Iran capital.

Hashemi was present at the signing MoU ceremony between Iranian and Chinese sides in Tehran on Tuesday.

He expressed his contentment with the partnership with the Chinese organization for the new stadium in Tehran.

“We have signed this memorandum, and our next step is to start the construction of the sport complex,” said the Iranian Sport and Youth Minister.

Iran President Ebrahim Raeisi urged the Minister of Sports and Youth and the Vice-President for Executive Affairs to address the construction of a new stadium in Tehran to provide the sporting needs of the youth.

“This sports complex and stadium can fulfill all our requirements for hosting international events in various sports.

“The construction of this sports complex holds great significance for Iran, as it has been ordered by Mr. Ebrahim Raeisi, the President of Iran.

“We are optimistic about launching the project according to the time schedule, which will enable us to provide the required reports to Mr. President and the people of Iran,” added Hashemi.

After signing the MoU, the CEO of China IPPR International Engineering Corporation emphasized the mutual confidence between the Iranian and Chinese sides.

“The company will rely on Iran’s internal capabilities for designing and constructing during project implementation.

“When it comes to the project's design, our priority is the incorporation of superior and green technologies. We are proud to have the support and trust of Iran's Ministry of Sports and Youth in implementing the project,” he said.
