TEHRAN – Iran defeated Thailand 5-0 in the International Federation of Cerebral Palsy Football (IFCPF) Asia Oceania Championships on Monday.

A first-half hattrick to Moslem Mehrabian in the first half gave Iran a sturdy lead that they never looked like relinquishing. While Thailand showed a lot of fight, the world no.3 Iran were too strong in the end.

Amirmahdi Rahimabadi and Shamseddin Shahbazi scored two more goals for Iran to register a 5-0 win over Thailand.

Iran had defeated Japan and Australia in their previous matches.

Team Melli will play India on Wednesday.
