Israel will be pulverized if onslaught on Gaza widens: Iran’s diplomat

TEHRAN- Iran’s deputy foreign minister for political affairs has issued a dire warning saying that the Israel regime will be completely destroyed if its continuing assault against the Palestinian resistance in the beleaguered Gaza Strip continues to grow.

Ali Bagheri Kani made the remarks in a televised interview on Monday as Israel has been pounding the blockaded Gaza since October 7.

The operation of the Palestinian resistance against Israel was characterized by Bagheri Kani as “an irreparable earthquake in the Zionist regime’s military and security system.”

“If the war expands any further, we cannot say that Israel would lose because nothing will remain of Israel to be described as a loser or winner,” Iran’s deputy foreign minister stressed.

In addition, the senior Iranian diplomat stated that the al-Aqsa Storm Operation generated “an earthquake in the intellectual and strategic system of the U.S.- led Western world, as well as in U.S. unilateralism.”

“The Americans are now plagued by a strategic confusion and cannot guess the resistance’s next move to make a decision accordingly,” he noted.

The deputy foreign minister also addressed the signals that American officials have been delivering to Iran, noting these are intended to avoid further escalation of the situation.

“However, Americans themselves are the main party responsible for the continuation and expansion of the conflict through their unbridled support for the Zionists,” he asserted.

Bagheri Kani went on to highlight, “Therefore, the main party responsible for the Zionists’ crimes, after Zionists themselves, are Americans. They have said time and again that they stand by Israel without any limitations.”

His remarks came after earlier on Monday the Gaza-based Palestinian Hamas resistance movement said Israeli tanks that had advanced near the territory were forced to retreat after heavy clashes.

The United States has been supplying the Israeli regime with thousands of consignments of weaponry ever since the Israeli campaign of aggression against the beleaguered Gaza Strip was launched.

Additionally, Washington has been providing the Tel Aviv regime with a lot of political assistance by vetoing resolutions by the UN Security Council that either demand an immediate end to the regime’s aggression or hold it accountable for its crimes.

Beginning on October 7, Hamas launched the largest offensive against Israel in its 75 years of history in response to the regime’s bloody violence against people in the West Bank.

The surprise operation, dubbed Al-Aqsa Storm, has put the competence of the Israeli army and its intelligence bodies under serious question.

In response, Israel launched an insane war on Gaza, so far killing over 8,300 people, with women and children accounting for 70% of the casualties.
