HANGZHOU – Iran’s women’s wheelchair basketball team lost to Thailand 47-39 in the 2022 Asian Para Games on Friday.

Iran, who had lost to Japan 84-16 in their first match on Thursday, will play Laos on Saturday.

The men’s team who started the Games with a 91-33 win over Afghanistan in Group A, will play China on Saturday.

Iran’s men’s team are defending champions.

Wheelchair basketball is one of the events at the 2022 Asian Para Games, which takes place in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, from Oct. 19 to 27.
