TEHRAN –A Persian translation of Stephanie Winston Wolkoff’s book “Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady” has recently been published by Respina Publications in Tehran.

Amir Hossein Parvardeh is the translator of the book, which was originally published in 2020.

The book is a memoir written by Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, a former friend and senior advisor to Melania Trump, the First Lady of the United States. The book details the story of their friendship, from their initial meeting in New York City to Wolkoff's firing from the White House.

After Trump won the 2016 election, Wolkoff was recruited to help produce the 58th Presidential Inauguration and to become the First Lady’s trusted advisor. Melania put Wolkoff in charge of hiring her staff, organizing her events, helping her write speeches, and creating her debut initiatives.

Then it all fell apart when she was made the scapegoat for inauguration finance irregularities. Melania could have defended her innocent friend and confidant, but she stood by her man, knowing full well who was really to blame. The betrayal nearly destroyed Wolkoff.

Wolkoff discusses her role in planning the 2017 presidential inauguration and her experiences working with the First Lady. She also sheds light on the inner workings of the Trump administration and its controversies, including the family separation policy at the U.S.-Mexico border.

The book caused controversy because of the author's secret recordings of her conversations with Melania and other members of the Trump administration, which were released to the public. Wolkoff argues that her intentions were to protect herself in the event of a legal dispute.

“Melania and Me” gives readers a behind-the-scenes look at the personal and political drama within the Trump administration through the lens of Wolkoff's friendship with the First Lady.
