TEHRAN - Digital transformation is an opportunity to develop the country’s mining industry, Somayeh Kholusi, the deputy head of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization, has said.

She made the remarks during the First International Conference of Digital Transformation in Steel and Mining Industries, which was held in Tehran on October 11.

“Achieving digital and technological development in the mining industry needs national synergy.”

Referring to IMIDRO’s plans and programs in the science and technology sector, she said: “By cooperating with companies, IMIDRO pursues the goal of increasing the knowledge of artisans and miners. In this regard, IMIDRO intends to hold training courses and support knowledge-based companies.”
