TEHRAN – Iran won the title of the 2023 United World Wrestling (UWW) Beach Wrestling World Series.

The Iranian wrestlers claimed two gold medals, one silver and one bronze.

Hossein Abbaspour in the 80kg and Hadi Vafaeipour in the 90kg seized two gold medals, while Mohammadali Tabar Firouzjah snatched a silver in the +90kg and Hamidreza Zarinpeykar also claimed a bronze in the 90kg. 

Team Melli won the title with 80 points, followed by Turkey (77 points) and Georgia (44 points). 

The competition was held in Mugla, Turkey on Oct. 14-15.
