Iran ready to resolve Baku-Yerevan tension
In a commentary, the Iran newspaper discussed the meeting of the president with senior officials of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan and wrote: The developments in the South Caucasus and the issues between the two countries were among the main issues discussed in these two meetings.
Raisi once again emphasized the principled position of the Islamic Republic of Iran about the (proposed) Zangezur Corridor and said: The Zanegzur Corridor is a platform for NATO's presence in the region and a threat against the national security of countries, which the Islamic Republic firmly opposes. He also considered it necessary to improve the level of relations between Tehran and Baku and to deal with plans designed to cause a rift in relations between the two countries. He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a powerful neighbor of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia, is fully prepared to resolve the disputes and problems of these two countries. The countries of the region can solve the problems of the region, warning that facilitating the presence of extra-regional countries in the Caucasus under any pretext is not in the interest of any of the countries in the region.
Shargh: France's hostile stance towards Noor 3 satellite launch
In an analysis, Shargh discussed the statement of the French Foreign Ministry regarding the launch of the Noor 3 satellite and said: The French Foreign Ministry considered the launch of the Noor 3 satellite as the cause of Iran's alarming progress in ballistic missile programs, while the West has always been afraid of the Islamic Republic's progress in any field. It also claimed that the launch of this satellite did not comply with the Security Council resolution (2231) and condemned it. Before France, England also issued an interventionist statement regarding the launch of the satellite by Iran and said that on September 27 Iran successfully launched the Noor 3 satellite using the Qased satellite carrier, which uses technology necessary for the development of a long-range ballistic missile system. And by repeating the claims against Iran's nuclear and missile program, it claimed that England, along with its partners, will take every diplomatic step to prevent Iran from acquiring (what it called) nuclear weapons and is committed to make Iran responsible for its malicious activities around the world. Despite these claims, this launch and success is the result of the people's and government's attention to the space industry and another sign of the ineffectiveness of the sanctions and threats of the enemy against the determination of the country's experts and scientists.
Ham Mihan: Iran's return to the Caucasus
In a note, Ham Mihan discussed the declaration by Iran that it is ready to deploy troops to monitor peace on the borders between Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan. It wrote: Now that Baku and Ankara publicly threaten to reopen the Zanegzur Corridor even through war and occupying southern Armenia, which pose a serious threat to the stability of the region and the survival of the historical border with Iran, military cooperation between Tehran and Yerevan becomes more important than before. Cooperation can be a prelude to Iran's return to the lost Caucasus and let diplomacy play a more effective political role. The maneuver of the Iranian armed forces in the Aras region is an example that the Islamic Republic is against the geopolitical changes in the Caucasus region. The recent proposal by Major General Bagheri can be viewed as Tehran’s involvement in this arena, and it is time for the diplomatic system to use this opportunity to participate in the political games in the region. The most important element in strengthening Iran's “field and diplomacy” in the Caucasus is sharing the interests of Iran and Armenia and confronting the NATO-Turani Zangezur corridor and the favorable atmosphere in the public opinion of the two countries. Upon the current situation, the role of Russia has decreased in other dimensions and the role and position of Iran can be strengthened and Iran does not lose the opportunity to return to the Caucasus.
Arman-e-Melli: Repetition of Zelensky's drone claims against Iran
In an article, Arman-e-Melli discussed the repetition of Zelensky's claim about the use of Iranian drones by Russia in the Ukraine war and wrote: By repeating this claim, which has been rejected many times by the authorities of our country, Zelensky requested an increase in Western arms support for the Kyiv front and sought more defensive shields for the winter because he claimed Ukraine would be attacked by various Russian missiles and Iranian drones. This is while Iran has repeated many times that it has not and will not give Russia any weapons or drones to be used in the war against Ukraine. Western countries are trying to accuse Iran of violating its arms clauses by presenting a wrong interpretation of (UN) Resolution 2231. Iran also says that the limitations related to weapons in this resolution officially will end on October 18 and the transfer of weapons to or from Iran is no longer subject to Resolution 2231.
